Boksak is manufactured from 600GSM PVC with anti-fungal properties. The Bakkie Cooler Bag consists of a single layer PVC, which are welded together by means of high frequency. This prevents blood from leaking through to places where it is difficult to clean, and causing bad smells. The bottom and sides are 100% water proof, thus preventing blood from leaking through to your vehicle.
The lid of the Bakkie Meat Cooler Bag is joined on three sides with a heavy duty YKK zip which includes two sliders. Every bag has re-enforced eyelets on the corners with rope ties to keep your bag upright while loading your carcasses.
Every bag is equipped with ten sheets of disposable gauze. The gauze is placed between the carcasses and the bag to absorb blood and other moisture.
When carcasses are transported over long distances, as well as during warmer months, heat becomes a factor. Every bag comes standard with a sheet of insulation which radiates both directions. The insulation is placed loosely between the bag and the gauze, and after the carcasses are loaded, it gets folded over the carcasses before the lid is closed. It doesn’t only serve as insulation, but also protects the inside of your bag against sharp bones from the carcasses. Because it is a loose sheet, it is very easy to clean the insulation afterwards.
Boksak is designed as a transport bag which is dust, and water proof. For good hygiene and to prevent bad smells, no part of the bag is stitched, and therefore not re-enforced. It is therefore recommended that the bags are not carried around with carcasses in them.
Boksak can be cleaned easily with diluted Sunlight Liquid. Avoid cleaning with strong ammoniac based soaps.
Boksak comes in standard sizes for single cab, cab and a half and double cab bakkies. Custom made bags for all vehicles and trailers can be made on request.
